The Day My Dream Died is a dark fantasy novel taking place in a world where some people have the ability to access a dream realm, known as the undermind, that reflects the reality of their strange world. Those who can access it, called dwellers, are relied upon to protect those who cannot protect themselves. The main story follows Lise Niulan, a young dweller, as she pursues her runaway sister whom she suspects is being hounded by fiends. During her pursuit, Lise must work through the wreckage left in her sister's wake and confront many new and often unnerving realities.
